“I knew that having a first aid needs assessment was a requirement and it wasn’t something I wanted to put off. You just don’t know when you could be faced with an emergency situation and I needed to know that we were prepared.

I arranged for COSAC to carry out the assessment for us because we’ve worked with them before. Their staff are knowledgeable so I trusted them to do a thorough and proper assessment, reassured that it would come at a competitive price.

Ray carried out the assessment in just a couple of hours and we had the report back within 2 days.

The report identified some things that were easy to put right, like improving the visibility of first aid boxes and replacing out-of-date first aid supplies, but if it wasn’t for the report we would never have thought about those things.

It’s given me peace of mind. You can’t really put a price on that, but I’d recommend COSAC for value for money.”

Until recently I was unemployed and struggled to get offered work due to not being qualified enough. However, I found myself eligible to receive a local authority training grant to purchase training to improve my prospects.

I got in touch with COSAC after searching online, they stood out from other training providers because they actually offered me a route into work. It wasn’t just about completing courses, I also gained valuable work experience to add to my CV.

By completing the Level 1 Health & Safety Construction course with COSAC, I was able to do my CSCS test and acquired the green card. This was a key moment for me as I suddenly became more employable and was able to find work quickly.

Having caught the training bug, I completed more courses such as First Aid and Electrical Installations to improve my skills even more. Better still, I was able to fit the training around my new work schedule.

Thanks to COSAC, I am now more qualified, more confident and most importantly, I have a job! I am currently employed as a Retail Installations Technician and I am also looking at getting qualified to work with Smart Meters.

As a piece worker on a zero-hours contract, I reached out to COSAC because I was fed up with bit part jobs. By not having a CSCS card, it was restricting my job opportunities and my ability to earn.
I did the H&S construction followed by the CSCS test. Now that I have my card, it has opened so many doors for work and has greatly improved my income.

I’m really pleased that I took this step and have now enrolled to do Emergency First Aid at Work in a couple of months.
